Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Chora. By accessing or using trychora.com or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Chora
Chora is operated by Distil Technology Limited (company number 15452977), a company registered in England and Wales ("Chora", "we", "us", "our"). Chora operates two surfaces: a link-in-bio product where professionals share partner tools and earn attribution on signups; and Chora Events, an AI-powered partnership marketplace that connects event organisers with sponsoring brands and event-service suppliers. Our contact address for legal purposes is ben@trychora.com.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Chora.
- You must be acting on behalf of a business or organisation (Chora is a business-to-business service).
- You must be based in the United Kingdom, or be a UK-registered entity, to use the platform in its current form.
By using Chora, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, up to date, and that you have authority to represent the organisation you register on behalf of.
3. User types and accounts
3.1 Chora users (link-in-bio)
A Chora user is a professional who claims a handle at trychora.com/<handle> and shares partner tools from their public page. By creating an account you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your work
- Only recommend partner tools you have reasonable grounds to endorse
- Not misrepresent partner tools, their features, or their terms
- Not use your Chora page to promote content or activity that violates applicable law
- Honour the attribution and payout terms of each partner programme you participate in
3.2 Organisers
An Organiser is an individual or organisation that runs events, communities or event programmes and registers on Chora Events to receive partnership recommendations. By creating an Organiser account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your events, audience and community
- Only pursue partnerships that are appropriate for your audience
- Honour any commitments made to a brand or supplier through the Chora platform
- Not misrepresent your audience size, engagement, event details or past partnerships
3.3 Brands
A Brand is a business that uses Chora to be matched with Chora users or event organisers. By creating a Brand account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your organisation and partnership requirements
- Treat Chora users, organisers and their audiences with respect
- Honour any agreed partnership commitments, including attribution and payout terms published to Chora users
- Not use Chora to access user audiences for purposes outside the agreed partnership
3.4 Suppliers
A Supplier is a business that provides goods or services to events (for example catering, production, security, content creation) and uses Chora to be matched with relevant organisers. The same obligations as 3.3 apply, in respect of your supplier offering.
3.5 Prospective users
If you have not signed up for Chora but we have contacted you — for example by email or on LinkedIn — because we believe you may be a good fit for the platform, these Terms do not apply to you unless and until you create an account. Our handling of your business contact data in that context is governed by our Privacy Policy.
4. The Chora platform and AI-generated recommendations
Chora provides AI-powered recommendations, matching logic, and drafting tools across both the link-in-bio and Events surfaces.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Recommendations are advisory, not guaranteed. Our matching engine uses large language models and public web content to suggest partnerships and partner tools; this is not a prediction of commercial outcome.
- AI output can be imperfect. Rationales, drafts and extracted profile information may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing anything you choose to send, publish, recommend or act on.
- No fully automated significant decisions. A human (either you or the Chora team) always decides whether to act on a recommendation.
- No warranty of match or outcome. We do not guarantee that any Chora user will earn a particular amount, that any Organiser will receive a partnership offer, that any Brand or Supplier will find a suitable match, or that any resulting arrangement will succeed.
Chora is not a party to any partnership agreement, sponsorship contract or commercial arrangement entered into between users of the platform unless explicitly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement. The terms of individual partnerships are agreed between the parties directly.
5. Partner programmes and payouts
Each partner tool available on Chora has its own commission structure, qualifying action, verification process and payout cadence, as published in the Chora dashboard. By participating in a partner programme you accept the terms of that programme as published at the time of each signup.
Chora facilitates attribution and payouts to Chora users via Stripe. Payouts are subject to the partner's verification of each referred signup. We do not guarantee payment for signups the partner declines to recognise under its own programme terms.
6. Your content and data
6.1 Content you submit
When you use Chora you submit information about yourself, your organisation, events, products or services, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to:
- Store, process and display that information inside your account and the Chora platform
- Display your public Chora page at trychora.com/<handle>
- Share the relevant parts of it with counter-parties when we recommend or facilitate an introduction (see our Privacy Policy for the specific fields shared)
- Use it to train, evaluate and improve the Chora matching engine and other internal systems, in an aggregated or de-identified form
We will not use your submitted content to train general-purpose, third-party AI models.
6.2 Public web content
To build useful profiles, Chora ingests content from your public website and public social-media profiles using automated tools. By creating an account you confirm that you have the right to allow us to do so for yourself and the organisation you represent. You can ask us to stop ingesting a specific domain at any time by emailing ben@trychora.com.
6.3 Our content
All content on trychora.com and inside the Chora platform — including the Chora name, logo, copy, design, matching logic, embeddings, and any AI-generated rationales or recommendations — is owned by Distil Technology Limited or its licensors. You may use AI-generated recommendations and drafts for your own partnership outreach, but you may not reproduce, distribute, resell or create derivative works from the platform itself or our underlying matching system without prior written permission.
7. Payments
Payouts to Chora users are processed via Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms, which you accept when you set up your payout account. For other users, Chora may in future facilitate payments between organisers, brands and suppliers; where such payment features are available, separate payment terms will apply and will be presented to you at that time.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Chora to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Spam, harass, or abuse other users or any contact introduced through the platform
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform content, recommendations or data without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, replicate or disrupt the platform, the matching engine or any underlying AI model
- Use the platform or any content obtained via it to train a competing AI system
- Generate fraudulent partner signups or otherwise manipulate attribution for payout
- Use the platform in any way that violates applicable law, including UK data-protection and electronic-marketing law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach, and to withhold payouts arising from activity we reasonably believe to be fraudulent.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Chora is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties as to the accuracy of AI-generated output or the availability of partner programmes.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the platform, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or losses arising from reliance on an AI-generated recommendation or draft.
- Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us (or we have paid to you in Chora payouts) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Distil Technology Limited, its directors, officers and employees from any claims, damages, or costs arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your use of the platform, or (c) any content, communication or partnership you pursue with another user introduced through Chora.
11. Privacy
Our use of your personal data, and the personal data of your colleagues or contacts you upload, is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using Chora, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
12. Modifications to the service
Chora is an actively-developed early-stage platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform — including the matching engine, specific recommendation features, individual partner programmes, or integrations with third-party AI providers — at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where possible.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at ben@trychora.com. On closure we will delete your account data in accordance with the retention periods in our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
